In 2015, I was commissioned by audio theatre company Frequency to write a short play for podcast.
The theme was relationships and four writers, including Judy Upton, were brought together to write monologues based on some key words and ideas decided in a short workshop with director Tony Casement.
My key words/phrases were:
* Folded clothes
* Rough hands
* To be present (literally there)
* Old couple – 60 years on
I wrote a short play about 75-year-old Edith who is making recordings for her husband who is now in a care home.
The play was performed by the brilliant Liz Crowther, directed by Tony Casement and produced by Bethany Sharpe.
