Critically acclaimed London run for All the Little Lights
All the Little Lights attracted a raft of five star reviews for its London run at the Arcola.
Five stars for Finding Nana in Edinburgh
We had a great time at the Edinburgh Fringe with Finding Nana with a five star review from Three Weeks and lots of four stars. The audience response was overwhelming – so many emotional reactions and actor Phoebe Frances Brown was incredible.
The play is set to tour in Feb/March 2018. More information can be found here.
So excited to bring my hilarious, naughty, nut brown and wrinkled Nana back to life again. I bloody miss her.
Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Play
All the Little Lights was nominated for Best Play at the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards 2017 – up against Caryl Churchill’s Escaped Alone and David Ireland’s Cyprus Avenue, two brilliant plays that I love. Caryl Churchill won on the day, which is, of course, fine by me!
George Devine Award for Most Promising Playwright
In May 2016, I was both delighted and amazed to be announced joint winner of the George Devine Award along with the brilliant Theresa Ikoko. An annual prize, established in 1966 in honour of the first director of the Royal Court Theatre, the award has an incredible list of past winners. I was very nervous to collect the award but it was a lovely ceremony.
