I’m going to post poems on this page – obviously. I’ve chosen to post them as sound recordings.
The recordings are pretty rough, made on my trusty laptop, so please forgive that.
Ode to phone – May 2012 (1:48)
Got frustrated by social networking and the speed of life again.
For my brother - Dec 2011 (5:44)
I wrote this poem for my brother Jono when he turned 30.
Nana – Nov 2011 (6:39)
I wrote this poem for a PechaKucha presentation I did to the funders of my Finding Nana project.
Virtual suicide - June 2011 (3:00)
This is about my slight addiction to social networking.
Grandad – 2003 (1:45)
I wrote this after my grandad’s funeral in 2003. We’d been to visit him in the chapel of rest a few days before. In my life, he was the first person to die who I really loved.
I love your work Miss Upton. x
I love your poem about Jono Jane.. You’re very talented x
I adore your poem about Jono.It summarised so many pertinent childhood memories and the sibling affection we either have..or crave. Not many people can achieve that using mere language. I had a navy tear escaping my eyes on that concluding verse!!
